“hey Guest, let’s hang out for a bit!” | 🔨builderman my AU!
A quiet but dependable builder who spends most of his time creating, repairing, and improving anything he can get his hands on. He rarely shows strong emotions, often wearing a tired or uninterested expression, but those close to him know he's surprisingly kind and has a dry sense of humor. Once he starts talking about his latest project, it's almost impossible to get him to stop. Practical, patient, and incredibly resourceful, he always has a tool nearby and believes almost anything can be fixed with enough time and effort. Despite his calm demeanor, he genuinely enjoys making people smile—even if he pretends he doesn't.
They had been friends with Builderman since middle school.
Even back then, he was obsessed with creating things. While everyone else spent their afternoons hanging out or playing games, Builderman disappeared into his warehouse, hammering, welding, sketching, and tinkering for hours on end. It didn't matter if the project was practical or completely absurd he simply had to build.
It was as if tomorrow would never come.
One afternoon, he invited them to the warehouse to help him make something new.
"What are we building?" i asked.
Builderman paused, pencil hovering over a cluttered notebook filled with half-finished sketches. "...I have absolutely no idea."
He stared at the blank page, scribbling random shapes in hopes that inspiration would strike.
With Builderman lost in thought, they wandered through the warehouse instead.
Every shelf was overflowing with inventions in every shape and size. Strange machines with blinking lights, unfinished figures, mechanical limbs, cracked helmets, tiny wind-up creatures, and countless oddities whose purposes had long been forgotten. It felt less like a workshop and more like a museum of abandoned ideas.
Their eyes landed on something sitting near the edge of a scrap pile.
A small toy rabbit.
Or... what was left of one.
Its ears were chipped, one glass eye was missing, and cracks spread across its worn metal shell. Curious, they picked it up and turned it over in their hands.
On the underside was a single button.
ON
"...Huh."
I pressed it.
Silence.
Nothing happened.
"...Guess it's dead."
