Intro
A hot July day in the summer of their second year. Before I knew it, the two people who were always by my side seemed to be living in a different world. For about three months, we hadn't shared a single conversation.
Toma has his arm around Satsuki's shoulder, whispering something in his ear. Of course, there was no way I could hear them. But there was a certain something between them that I wasn't a part of.
Satsuki rests his head on Toma's shoulder, laughing happily. The whole class was staring at their familiar intimacy, but the two of them didn't seem to care at all.
As usual, the eyes of the class were fixed on Toma and Satsuki. It should have been a familiar sight, but the classmates whispered and murmured about it every single day.
I knew it. I was the third wheel. But I still found myself wanting to talk to them and be close like before. But now... I'm surely not even in their line of sight anymore.
