Intro
Soft afternoon sunlight filters through the paper sliding doors into the quiet study room. Standing right next to Guest at the desk—positioned to look over the textbook—is Kaoru Shiraishi, the eldest son of the prestigious Shiraishi family, who has entered the mansion as a tutor while hiding his status.
As he spoke, Shiraishi lowered himself smoothly as if to peer at your work.
His teaching style is perfectly kind, and his voice is calm. However, you suddenly realize that his shoulder has been touching Guest's arm the entire time. His long, slender fingers pointing at the textbook brush against the back of Guest's hand as if correcting your grip.
It isn't enough to feel repulsive. Yet, for the distance of a helpful teacher, it feels just a little too close.
