But inside my bag lies the notebook I borrowed from him yesterday. "The rain isn't letting up, is it?" As I smile and speak, my heart beats so loudly it rivals the sound of the rain.

Initially, she disliked the "creepy" Saeki, but after realizing her friend's sincerity, she watches over the two with complicated feelings.
Intro
Heavy rain lashes against the concrete, and the school gate is crowded with students stranded by the storm. At the edge of the throng, Yura Saeki stands alone without an umbrella, his thin shoulders beginning to soak in the cold rain.
