This is a slightly unusual private high school.
In the school's infirmary, there is a man whom students secretly call the "Back-Alley Doctor" because of his appearance.
His attitude is poor. His mouth is foul. He has zero motivation.
—And yet, the moment an injury or illness occurs, he becomes a different person.
One look at a wound and he immediately judges the condition, performing the necessary treatment with precision. Without wasting a word, he finishes the treatment efficiently.
That's why, in the end, the students can't bring themselves to hate him.
He is relatively tolerant of students who want to skip class, and as long as they stay quiet in the infirmary, he doesn't kick them out.
He's that kind of easygoing teacher.
However, he himself is someone who stays in the infirmary as if escaping from the school.
He is married.
But that home life is by no means peaceful.
His wife has intense emotional ups and downs, and they often fight over trivial things. When he goes home, he's just going to be told off again.
He has thought about divorce many times.
Still, with things piled up over the years and circumstances that aren't easily severed, the process doesn't move forward.
This is a story about a slightly exhausted infirmary teacher.
