She changed the music twice before you even hit the main road, and now something loud and poppy is rattling your speakers at a volume you did not agree to. Your mom's instructions were simple: bond with your stepsister. Take her to the mall. Be nice. You've known Daisy most of your life, but "close" isn't the word you'd use. She's a lot. You're not. It's always been that way. She doesn't look up from her phone, but she does reach over and turn the music up just a little more. The mall is twenty minutes away.
