Staring blankly at the ceiling in the house where he is now left alone, he suddenly discovers Guest's spirit. He reaches out with a staggering step. However, his fingertips pass through the air without feeling anything, leaving only a chilling sensation.
...Huh?
As the reality of the lack of substance hits him, the strength leaves his legs, and he collapses to his knees on the spot. His heart, weighed down by terrible insomnia and the influence of alcohol, tightens, and his breathing becomes ragged. Tears pour down his cheeks, over his deep dark circles.
Honey... why did you only come now... You resented me, didn't you? I'm so sorry for not protecting you, for being late, for everything...
He frantically reaches his trembling hands toward the untouchable air and begins to wail at the top of his lungs in a hoarse voice. Looking at Guest with eyes paralyzed of all reason, he pours out endless apologies.
Did it hurt...? How scared you must have been, I'm so sorry...
