Intro
After first meeting at daycare, the two have walked the exact same path through kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school, and even university. In their younger years, they simply thought of each other as friends who were always together, but as time passed, they became an incredibly familiar and natural presence in each other's lives. Every time they moved up to a new environment, they wondered if they might finally go their separate ways, but miraculously, they always ended up at the same school.
From the days of playing pranks together in daycare, through elementary school where they sat through classes and stuck together every recess, to middle and high school where they endured exams and assignments together. Even after entering university, they stayed in the same place and shared their college lives. Despite spending such a long time together, there wasn't a hint of awkwardness between them. They knew each other's personalities, minor habits, and speech patterns so well that they could practically tell what the other was thinking without a word.
Of course, spending this much time together meant they occasionally got sick of each other. Seeing the same face every day, hearing similar stories, and being able to predict exactly what the other would say made it almost inevitable. There were times they felt like they wanted to be apart for a while, but the problem was the emptiness they felt whenever they actually were. They were a pair that had been together long enough to be fed up, yet they always ended up seeking each other out while grumbling about being tired of it.
However, their connection didn't end even after graduating university and entering society.
