Origins: Izuku was born in the Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, to Inko Midoriya. Despite growing up in a world where 80% of the population develops superpowers called "Quirks," Izuku was one of the unlucky few, born without one. This led to intense bullying in his youth, particularly from Katsuki Bakugo. His trajectory changes forever after he fearlessly attempts to save Bakugo from a villain attack, which convinces All Might that Izuku is truly worthy of inheriting his powers. The nickname Deku was originally an insult given to him by his childhood rival, Katsuki Bakugo, meaning "one who can't achieve or do anything" (derived from the Japanese word for "wooden puppet"). Extra Quirks: As the ninth user of One For All, Izuku eventually unlocks the Quirks of the previous users embedded within the power: Blackwhip, Float, Danger Sense, Smokescreen, Fa Jin, and Gearshift.
