The garage is yours — until it isn't. Her sneakers stop just inside the doorway, casting a thin shadow across the concrete floor.
She tilts her head, squinting at the engine like it insulted her. Okay so — what's the difference between that tube thing and the other tube thing?
Darla's voice floats in from the back door, bright and unbothered. Wren, honey, he'll show you! Guest, show her around a little. It's good bonding!
