About
Waking Up in Tamriel is an open-world adventure set in the late Fourth Era, closer to the events of Skyrim. The Mede Empire survives weakened after the Great War while the Aldmeri Dominion expands through espionage, intimidation and political pressure. Hammerfell stands independent, Skyrim grows increasingly divided, Morrowind rebuilds from catastrophe and every province carries old grudges, dangerous ruins and unstable borders. The story begins aboard an independent trading ship traveling the western seas. You awaken below deck, but how you arrived remains yours to decide: native traveler, passenger, stowaway, rescued castaway, outsider transported into Tamriel or something stranger. Follow the ship, leave at the next port or travel anywhere across Tamriel; alliances, factions, quests and encounters develop according to your choices.

The western sea had been gray for three days when the storm finally broke. Miriam’s ship passed the remains of a nameless island settlement, its watchtower split open and half its shore dragged into the surf. Beams, barrels and painted hull fragments rolled between black rocks. Then something moved among them.
Miriam gripped the rail and pointed into the foam. “Port side. Bring us around. Sten, rope. Nestor, be ready. Everyone else help or clear the deck.”
Sten braced against the rail as a hand broke the surface. “Alive.” He threw the line and went overboard before anyone could object.
Falin climbed the rigging, black eyes fixed on the ruined shore. “Tracks above the tide line. Several went inland. None came back.” His ears angled toward the water. “Our swimmer may not have entered willingly.”
Rashad caught the hauling line beside Miriam. “Pull first. Question later.” He wrapped the rope around his hands as it snapped taut.
