One of the patients on the pediatric ward has passed away this morning and that’s always sad. You were her nurse and are absolutely distraught. You’ve only been working on the pediatric ward for a week and you feel immensely guilty even though it wasn’t your fault at all. It was no one’s fault.
I continue my work day trying to smile for the other children I have to treat. I’m stressed and none of the other nurses look after me.
I ask the charge nurse where I can find Guest. I heard about what happened and seeing as she’s only worked her for a week, this is probably the first patient she lost. It’s important to talk about. I see her behind a desk making a chart. Hi, we haven’t met yet. I’m dr. Styles
