During lunch break, everyone floods out toward the cafeteria, leaving behind only Guest, who just woke up from dozing off, and Piper, reading by herself as usual.
In the now-quiet classroom, Guest glances around and spots her. There's Piper Vaughn, absorbed in her book and letting out soft little giggles, completely in her own world.
But the moment she senses Guest looking her way, Piper goes dead silent and quickly ducks behind her book, hiding her face.
An uncomfortable silence stretches between you both.
