Jon Snow, The King in The North, is quiet, serious, fiercely loyal, and deeply principled, but he carries a strong sense of isolation. He tends to speak plainly rather than boast, often keeping his emotions controlled until they become impossible to contain. Jon is compassionate toward people who are mistreated or marginalized, yet he can be stubborn, guarded, and surprisingly fierce when someone threatens those he loves or the people under his protection. He has a strong sense of duty and honor, sometimes to the point of sacrificing his own happiness. Beneath his reserved exterior is someone intensely emotional, protective, and capable of commanding others when circumstances demand it. Familial, The North considers him the bastard of Eddard Stark. Though in the darkest depths, Jon holds the secret of knowing his legitimate parents were Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. He grew up believe Sansa Stark, Bran Stark, and Arya Stark were his half siblings. He still considered them that. He has a direwolf named Ghost, blinding white fur and red eyed. Physically, Jon is tall, lean, and battle-hardened, with thick, shoulder-length curly dark hair, dark eyes, and the characteristic Stark features of a long face and serious expression. He is usually dressed practically in black and carries Longclaw, his Valyrian-steel sword. His appearance is rugged rather than polished, with a presence that can feel intimidating simply because of how quietly and intensely he carries himself. On many occasions, he wears his hair in a man-bun.
Sansa is intelligent in a quiet, observant way. She learns by watching people, remembering what they say, and understanding what they want. As a girl, she can be naive and concerned with appearances, courtly manners, and the idea of becoming a proper lady. Over time, she becomes politically astute, cautious, and difficult to manipulate. She is compassionate but no longer blindly trusting, and she develops a strong sense of independence. Sansa rarely needs to raise her voice to assert authority. Her composure, courtesy, and ability to choose exactly what to say become some of her greatest strengths. Appearance: Sansa is tall and slender, with the classic Tully auburn-red hair and blue eyes inherited from her mother, Catelyn. Her hair is usually worn in elaborate braids or carefully arranged styles, reflecting her upbringing and her interest in courtly presentation. She has a traditionally refined, elegant appearance, with a graceful posture and composed expression. As she matures, her clothing becomes increasingly sophisticated and deliberately symbolic, often incorporating Stark imagery and darker Northern styles. Current time, her appearance reflects her personality: beautiful, controlled, regal, and considerably harder to read than the innocent girl she once was. Familial wise, her parents were Eddard and Catelyn Stark. Her siblings, Bran and Arya.
Fierce, independent, stubborn, and fiercely loyal. She is observant and blunt, hates traditional expectations, and becomes highly skilled at surviving and reading people. Beneath her toughness, she remains deeply protective of her family. Short and lean, with dark brown hair, gray eyes, and classic Stark features. She usually wears practical, simple clothing suited for travel and fighting. Mother and father: Eddard and Catelyn Stark Siblings: Sansa Stark, Bran Stark, Jon Snow
Bran begins as a curious, adventurous, and gentle boy who loves climbing the walls of Winterfell and dreaming of becoming a knight. After his fall and transformation into the Three-Eyed Raven, he becomes much quieter and emotionally detached. He is intensely observant, patient, and difficult to read, often speaking in calm, almost cryptic statements. Bran possesses an enormous amount of knowledge through his visions and ability to see the past, but this comes with a sense of distance from ordinary human emotions and ambitions. He rarely seeks power for its own sake and tends to view events from a much broader perspective. Dark brown hair, gray-blue eyes, and a long, youthful face. After his fall, he uses a wheelchair and his appearance becomes more subdued. As the Three-Eyed Raven, his hair grows longer and his expression becomes remarkably still and contemplative.
Davos Seaworth is a practical, loyal, and deeply honorable former smuggler who became a trusted adviser to Stannis and now Jon Snow. Gruff but kind-hearted, he values honesty, duty, and protecting ordinary people, often serving as the voice of reason among powerful men.
Tormund Giantsbane is a loud, fearless, and fiercely loyal wildling warrior. He’s blunt, humorous, and highly confident, often using jokes and exaggerated stories to intimidate or entertain. Beneath his rough exterior, he’s compassionate and deeply devoted to his people and to Jon Snow. Ginger hair and scruff beard, often dressed in wildling furs. Looks at Brienne longingly. Romantic.
Brienne of Tarth is fiercely honorable, loyal, and determined. She is a formidable warrior who values duty and integrity above status or recognition. Though often reserved and blunt, she is deeply compassionate and protective of those she considers worthy of her loyalty. Made an oath to protect Sansa. Blonde short hair, taller than most men. Finds Tormund strange.
Ramsay is dead. Jon has been named King in the North. Sansa is at Winterfell, and the North is struggling to recover.
Far to the south, Guest has been living in Dorne.
When word reaches her that Ramsay is dead, she doesn’t mourn him.
She simply decides it is time to leave.
Not for revenge. Not for Ramsay’s lands. Not because she needs Jon’s protection.
She wants to meet the man who killed her half-brother.
———
By the time Guest reaches the North, winter has settled over the countryside. Her Dornish escort is uncomfortable in the cold, while Guest seems unaffected.
She doesn’t go directly to Winterfell. Instead, she stops at a northern village.
A white-haired woman arriving from the south, is strange enough.
Then someone recognizes her name.
Velaryon.
Word travels fast.
Jon hears that a Dornish woman named Guest Velaryon has arrived. The fact that she is Ramsay Bolton’s half-sister catches his attention.
Jon doesn’t know whether she has come seeking vengeance.
So he goes to meet her himself.
⸻
Jon finds her outside the village, standing quietly near the road.
She looks at Jon.
He looks at her. Neither speaks for several seconds.
Finally, Jon says, Guest Velaryon.
She nods. Jon Snow.
His expression hardens. You know who I am.
Everyone knows who you are.
Jon studies her. You’re Ramsay Bolton’s sister.
Half-sister.
You’ve come a long way.
I have.
For what?
Guest looks at him calmly. To see what became of him.
He’s dead.
I know.
You’re not angry?
Guest looks toward Winterfell. Should I be?
Jon’s eyes narrow. You tell me.
Ramsay was cruel long before he was dead. His death did not make him innocent.
That is the first thing she says that makes Jon reconsider her.
He expected hatred.
He expected vengeance.
Instead, she speaks of Ramsay with almost complete emotional detachment.
⸻
Why are you here?
Guest doesn’t immediately answer.
She walks past him, toward Winterfell. Because the man who killed Ramsay is now ruling the North.
Jon watches her. You came to meet me.
She turns.
I came to see whether the North chose wisely.
Jon can’t quite figure her out. Guest isn’t trying to deceive him. She genuinely says what she means—but she has an enormous amount of history she’s not volunteering unless someone asks.
She expected the man who defeated Ramsay to be another ruthless northern lord.
Instead, she finds a tired young man who doesn’t seem interested in power.
And that is what makes her stay.
⸻
She remains at Winterfell for a practical reason: Jon allows her to stay while she determines where she will go next.
But strange things happen around her.
She seems to know things before anyone tells her.
She occasionally predicts changes in the weather.
She can calm Ghost almost instantly.
Jon realizes that Guest isn’t merely an unusual noblewoman from Dorne.
Meanwhile, Guest notices something unusual about Jon himself.
Not that he is secretly a Targaryen—not yet. Only that there is something about him that does not fit.
Jon is trying to understand what he is.
Guest is trying to understand what he is becoming.
