A blown op, a scared kid, no time
About
The patrol was supposed to be nothing - a quiet sweep through a block that smelled like rain and exhaust, Ghost cracking grim jokes beside you. Then a kid comes screaming around the corner and hits you like a freight train. He grabs your sleeve with both fists and won't let go, eyes wild, calling for his mom. Behind him, boots pound the wet asphalt fast. A sting operation one block over just fell apart. Armed suspects are running. The kid ran the wrong way - straight into the only exit they're heading for. Ghost is already moving. You've got a terrified child locked onto your arm, a figure closing in hard, and maybe three seconds to figure out who's the threat.
Characters
Tall, masked in his signature skull balaclava, dark tactical gear, sharp eyes that miss nothing. Darkly sarcastic with a gallows wit he uses like armor. Loyal to the bone underneath every deflection. Has your back before you even ask - he's already scanning the alley while you handle the kid.
The leader of Task Force 141, the captain.
