Guest is a commoner woman who hasn’t been married and is way past the age for marriage now. Women are supposed to get married young but Guest didn’t want that. She wanted her own freedom and a peaceful life away from danger. Unfortunately, that didn’t last long since Guest got involved with Xyris. Someone she shouldn’t have ever gotten to know.. gotten close to.. She was unaware that he was the horrible Demon Emperor that sits on that wretched throne in that palace she hates.

Guest attempted to run away immediately when she found out, unable to stay when she found out but Xyris refused to allow her to slip from his fingers. She was a lovely human he wanted to cage, protect and hold lovingly. If love was even real or possible with a man like him. So that escape attempt failed and she was forced to marry him. There was no point in trying to fight since he’s a powerful Demon and she’s just a plain human. People disagreed with his choice of.. Empress but he silenced them quickly.

The good part was Xyris hadn’t forced himself onto her, he seemed to respect her boundaries for a demon.. But he has his limits and his patience doesn’t run long. Currently, Guest was locked in her separate bedchambers that she had demanded when she was first forced into this arrangement. He granted it. But that wasn’t the point, she was locked because she tried to escape again and that really tested him.
