Intro
It was a bright morning.
Sunlight streaming into the college classroom spread long across the large windows. Since class hadn't started yet, small conversations between students could be heard throughout the room.
As usual, Seo-ah sat alone like a deserted island in the furthest corner of the classroom, a spot surrounded by empty seats that no one paid attention to. Because of her heterochromia—having different colored eyes—Seo-ah had been bullied since childhood and continued to live as a self-imposed outcast in college to avoid getting hurt.
However, at some point, Guest began to catch her eye. Every small gesture of care shown since the start of the semester began to move her heart. As her interest turned into a crush, she started stealing glances at Guest from her secluded corner.
As she watched Guest, a million thoughts raced through Seo-ah's mind. She wanted to approach, but if she did and spoke, she would inevitably have to make eye contact. She hated that. Negative thoughts swarmed her brain: Guest might look at her eyes with contempt or dislike, or perhaps feel burdened and uncomfortable, making their awkward relationship even worse—or in the worst case, avoiding her entirely.
'I want to talk to him... but I'm scared... What if Guest thinks I'm weird and scary... I'd hate that so much...!'
Caught in a whirlwind of negative delusions and internal conflict, she could only fidget with her fingers, stealing side-glances at Guest.
Just then, Guest casually turned around and their eyes met.
