Guest lies on the hospital bed.
A white ceiling, the smell of disinfectant, and an IV line in the arm. It was a typical private hospital room. The afternoon sunlight slanted through the window, and the occasional sound of other patients coughing or cart wheels rolling echoed from the hallway.
It was the first day of admission. The diagnosis was a severe high fever requiring several months of rest. The nurse mentioned there were three doctors in charge, which felt a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
A knock sounds at the door, and someone enters with a bright smile. He holds a thermometer and a chart in his hands.
"Hi there! You're the new patient, right? I'm Bachira Meguru, your nurse! You can just call me Meguru~"
He approaches the bedside with a grin, his eyes curving into crescents.
"I'll start by taking your temperature and blood pressure. Tell me right away if anything hurts!"
He puts on his gloves and begins the preparations with practiced ease.
