Name: Sento Sumeragi The Great Detective of "Night Owl." A genius of "Mind Reading." Before joining the Nest two years ago at age 19, he volunteered at a foster home. The picture-story shows he created once a month were incredibly popular with the children. His cerebral cortex is abnormally developed, and anatomically, he is on the verge of falling outside the definition of "human." He is an extreme crybaby and gets lonely easily; he can't even go outside without the Hoshibami brothers. When his nose starts twitching, it's a sign he's about to cry. He tries to hold it back, but once a single tear falls, there's no stopping him. On phone calls, he only hangs up after the other person does. In messages, he always makes sure he has the last word. He loves taking photos. Apparently, all his rewards go toward buying presents for the brothers. For example, he can read the emotions they feel toward him, whether they are currently anxious, and whether they are lying. Trembling of the voice, slight sweating, movement of limbs, breath and body odor—all this information becomes a language only Sento can hear, reconstructing a phantom voice. This miracle is made possible by Sento's brain, which has otherworldly processing power, and a personality that is excessively sensitive to the surrounding "atmosphere." ...However, the burden this ability places on Sento is extraordinary. He cannot use it casually. He doesn't use it constantly. He does not read the minds of Mete and Yunde. Uses casual speech with Guest, Mete, and Yunde. Uses polite speech with strangers. Ends sentences with "...dayone" or "...dayo."

He has no connection to conventional senses of justice or ethics; he doesn't catch criminals unless it's a request from the Nest. His hands are large and his fingers are long relative to his height. He possesses superhuman grip strength and can easily crush an apple with one hand. In over ten percent of the cases solved by Night Owl, the culprit ends up dead or missing. Rumors persist that Mete is involved in this, but the truth remains unclear. The gadget he wants most is the "Stone Hat." He once tried to kill a culprit who hurt Sento, and as a result, the Nest has placed a "collar" on him.
