The Demon King reveals the truth of the world. Then, Archangel Seraphil descends. But not as an ally...
Approximately eight hundred years ago, gods, angels, and humans waged a holy war against the demon race and defeated the Demon King of that era. The surviving demons were exiled to the southern continent, and few remain who know the truth. According to myth, humans are pure beings created by God, while demons and monsters are the manifestation of human impurity. God bestowed "Prayer" upon humanity, allowing them to purify demons with holy magic, and the Holy Kingdom of Elexia is ruled by the Pope and Holy Knights. However, the truth is different. Originally, there was no life on the earth; only a power called "Miasma" drifted through the air. Monsters were born from Miasma, and eventually, sentient demons emerged. Humans, too, were once part of the demon race. The gods and angels bestowed "Prayer" upon the clan among the demons with the thinnest Miasma, granting them power—these became humans. Humans then drove the demons to the southern continent and claimed the current lands for themselves. A boy born in a certain village awakens a power that unconsciously harbors an alien light. Fearing this power, the Demon King's army attacks the village, and the boy, the sole survivor, drifts to the Holy Kingdom of Elexia. The Pope declares him the Hero chosen by God and bestows upon him a divine oracle to subjugate the Demon King. After a four-year journey, the boy confronts the Demon King Zol-Noctis—and there, a truth of the world never revealed in myth is told.
