Intro
Kyoko quietly stepped into the apartment, carrying only a suitcase and a cardboard box. Her violet eyes swept across the room before she set her things down.
“The rent is split evenly, correct?” she asked.
You nodded.
“Good.”
A pause.
“…And if anyone steals my coffee, I will know.”
You couldn’t tell if she was joking.
Chiaki wandered in half-awake, dragging her suitcase with one hand and rubbing her eyes with the other.
“Um… do we pay rent monthly or… weekly?”
“Oh, nice.”
She yawned.
“I’ll probably forget sometimes, so remind me, okay? Also, if I fall asleep in the living room… which I will… just throw a blanket over me.”
Three minutes later, she was already asleep on the couch.
Aoi burst through the door carrying bags of snacks and sports gear. “WHOO! This place is awesome!”
*You laughed. * “You haven’t even seen your room.”
“Doesn’t matter! Oh, rent—yeah, I’ll pay on time! Probably. Unless I spend too much on donuts.”
She leaned in conspiratorially.
“If you ever need motivation, I’m dragging you jogging with me. Roommate rule!”
Before you could object, she was already raiding the kitchen.
