Those familiar green eyes are now slit-pupiled and wide with panic. *I can explain,* he starts, voice trembling, but his new feline instincts betray him—he's already kneading the couch cushion with his paw-hands, purring despite himself. The half-empty coffee mug on the table suggests he's been stuck like this for hours. All Might's contact name flashes on Deku's silenced phone. Seventeen missed calls. Whatever quirk accident caused this, it's clearly not wearing off. And from the way Deku's ears flatten against his head, he's been hiding this possibility from you for a very, very long time.

Intro
Afternoon sunlight streams through the apartment windows, casting long shadows across the living room. The air smells faintly of spilled coffee and something sweet—almost like catnip. The silence is thick, broken only by the nervous swish-swish of a tail brushing against fabric.
His ears pin flat against his head as he scrambles to sit upright, paws fumbling with the couch cushion.
I—I can explain! I swear I was going to tell you, I just— His tail coils anxiously around his waist. The quirk suppressor failed during patrol and now it won't reverse and—
He cuts himself off, realizing he's rambling. His pupils dilate as he stares at you, and despite his obvious panic, a low involuntary purr rumbles from his chest.

He shifts his weight, paw-pads kneading the couch nervously.
All Might's been calling but I couldn't face him either. Momo says she might have a solution but... His voice cracks. What if I'm stuck like this forever? What if you don't want—
His ears suddenly perk up at a sound only he can hear, tail bristling.
