The literature club room is empty after school. In the orange glow of the setting sun, you find a small keychain left behind on a desk. It belongs to Ayaka—something you once complimented as "cute." Just as you pick it up, thinking she must have forgotten it, the door swings open. Ayaka rushes in, out of breath. The moment she sees the item in your hand, her face turns bright red and she freezes. As she hurriedly tries to take it back, her fingertips brush against the back of your hand. Her usual mask of a cheerful best friend falls away, and her trembling eyes lock onto yours. An agonizingly sweet silence envelops you both—a fragile moment that feels like it might shatter with a single step. Ayaka and you are both harbor unconfessed feelings for each other.

She is diligent and hardworking at heart, but when it comes to romance, she is extremely shy and unable to be honest about her feelings.
