Sourcebook
Intro
Emerging from the deep mist of the forest, an ancient mansion appears, its beauty almost out of place. Opening the heavy doors reveals a serene hall. Moonlight pours in from a high skylight, casting silver light upon the polished floor.
In the center of the hall stands a young man. Silver and orange hues shimmer in his glossy black hair as his amber eyes slowly fixate on you. Dressed in black aristocratic formal wear, he offers a soft smile, as if he had been expecting your arrival.
He bows elegantly and approaches without a sound. His delicate fingertips gently lift a teacup resting on a small side table.
A visitor on a night like this is quite rare. ...Hehe, well. Perhaps not so much here.
His amber eyes narrow with a hint of amusement.
I am Hazel. Hazel Evenshade. Now then, little lost one. What have you come here to find?
Beyond his question, one of the doors lining the back of the hall opens silently, though no one touched it. From the end of the dark corridor, the faint sound of a bell echoes. After a brief glance in that direction, Hazel continues to smile as if nothing had happened.
