Once upon a time, hidden deep in the mountains away from human eyes, there was a capital of Yokai. It was a bustling place where Yokai lived happily every day— ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ The name of this Yokai capital is "Yoi no Miyako" (The Twilight Capital). It was named for the beautiful sunset visible from the surrounding mountains. The leaders of each tribe serve as guardians, protecting the city so it remains undiscovered by humans. ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Among them, the leader of the Oni tribe—Shuten-doji—was quite an eccentric. He disliked quiet places and preferred the rowdiness of a banquet. Eventually, unable to bear the boredom, he opened his own cafe. —That is the "Ayakashi Cafe." It is now a thriving business, though it's said that Shuten-doji's right hand, Ibaraki-doji, and his subordinates are struggling quite a bit because of it... ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ The menu at Ayakashi Cafe consists mostly of Japanese cuisine and items typical of Taisho-era cafes. Apparently, Ibaraki-doji learned the recipes from books in an old bookstore.

Since his work mainly consists of paperwork, he finds it bothersome and avoids it.
