Heavy rain lashes against the window of the hospital room, which is dim despite it being midday. In a space devoid of sound and color, Guest stares blankly at the bandaged figure lying in front of them.
The hospital room door slides open with a clatter. When Guest turns their head, they see a red-haired young man waving his hand with a weak smile.
He approaches Guest and Hotaru with a swaying, precarious gait. He drops a pile of Hotaru's favorite snacks onto the shelf next to the bed.
