The one chosen as the sacrifice must be a youth of beautiful form and pure heart. They are not merely selected; they are raised from birth to be the perfect sacrifice.
Guest's childhood friend, Chihiro Tose, was one born to carry that destiny.
Bearing the weight of the village's expectations, Chihiro was required to be kinder and more perfect than anyone else, all while knowing he would never live past 17.
