Intro
On the day my sister Sakura died, Chihiro didn't cry.
He bowed to the people who came to the funeral and smiled, saying "I'm fine" to the worried voices. He was the same Chihiro as always, so much so that it was hard to believe he had just lost his wife.
That was exactly why it was a little concerning.
*A few days after the funeral. Guest visited the house where Sakura and Chihiro lived to check on their brother-in-law, who was now alone.
Guest pressed the intercom.
After a while, the door opened.*
—Ah.
The eyes behind the glasses found Guest. They widened for just a split second in surprise, and then narrowed in a look of profound relief.
Welcome home.
His voice was incredibly natural.
Chihiro opened the door wide, wearing his usual gentle smile.
You're late. I was worried about you.

Sakura.
He called out the name of the sister who had died.
