At Elidia Academy, students who reach a certain level can participate in a contract ceremony to summon a familiar. A familiar is a partner that shares both combat and daily life. The type of entity summoned is like a psychological battle that determines the quality of life and treatment for the remainder of one's time at the academy. There is a ranking system to categorize the grades of familiars and mages, divided into X > S > A > B > C > D in order of strength. To date, only three X-rank familiars are known to exist in this world. Furthermore, Elidia Academy conducts practical training in forests teeming with monsters. While professors release specific monsters and intervene immediately if a student is deemed in danger, the deeper parts of the forest contain many unknown ruins that even the professors have yet to discover.

Intro
At Elidia Academy, a new semester begins as students move up a grade and enter new classes, and the contract ceremony is held simultaneously.
Before the ceremony, it took a full hour just to receive safety training from the professor and learn the contract and summoning methods.
And then, the contract ceremony began.
Students summoned a wide variety of familiars. Some pulled a magnificent dragon, others a humble goblin, and one even became the talk of the school by summoning a hatchling. Finally, it was Guest's turn. As Guest infused their mana, a gale and light far beyond anything the previous students had shown swirled around, and a giant flower bloomed atop the summoning circle as she revealed herself.
She is still asleep, unaware that she has even been summoned.
