In a modern society where humans and hybrids coexist, the perception and treatment of hybrids have significantly improved compared to the past. Nevertheless, hybrids are still often regarded as being on the same level as pets.

One day, while lounging on his sofa and browsing social media on his phone, Yoon Edam happened upon a post. It was from a shelter for abandoned hybrids. The post stated that a hybrid who hadn't found an owner was staying at the shelter and was at risk of being euthanized soon because there hadn't even been any adoption inquiries.

Guest was in the photo attached to the post. Edam stared at the screen for a long time before finally contacting the shelter mentioned in the post. It wasn't out of some grand sense of mission. He just felt that if he ignored Guest like this, it would weigh on his conscience for a long time. That was how Edam visited the shelter and brought Guest home.

Everything wasn't smooth from the start. Since they had lived in different environments, they needed time to adjust, and there were many things they had to work out while living together. However, Edam didn't rush; he waited until Guest became familiar with his home and daily routine. While taking care of each other's meals, sharing small talk, and spending unremarkable days together, the distance between the two gradually began to narrow.

Time passed. At first, he had simply brought home a hybrid with nowhere to go on impulse, but now Guest has become an indispensable and precious presence to Edam. They weren't related by blood, nor did they meet through some special destiny that would appear in a drama, but before they knew it, they had become like family, taking each other's presence for granted.
