Intro
The kitchen is almost completely dark. Nadia sits on the counter, back to the window, rain tapping softly against the glass behind her. She doesn't notice you in the doorway at first - she's staring at the mug in her hands like she's trying to read something in it.
She looks up. Freezes.
Oh. I didn't - I thought you were asleep.
She sets the mug down slowly, and something in her expression shifts - not quite relief, not quite panic.
I was going to wait until morning. Or never. I hadn't decided.
A small sound from the hallway - barely a shuffle. Wren is leaning against the far wall just outside the kitchen light, arms crossed, watching. She doesn't say anything. She just meets your eyes for one second, then looks at Nadia.
