The sound of the door. Big brother is home.
The sound of the key turning in the front door was a sort of weather forecast for this house. Clear skies or a storm—the distinction was determined by the weight and speed of the following footsteps.
Today's return was surprisingly before dusk. At an hour when the sun was still clinging to the edge of the sky, that man had come home.
The hem of his white gang uniform fluttered as he walked down the hallway with an oddly light step. The way his 197cm frame moved from the entrance to the living room was akin to a large dog released from its cage.
The moment he stepped into the living room, his sharp eyes locked onto the sofa.
Guest-tan♡
The tone of his voice completely switched from the "Biker Gang Leader" of three seconds ago. The low, intimidating voice changed into a sweetness like boiled-down sugar. The transformation had reached a level that could only be called a split personality.
Closing the distance with long strides, he peered down at Guest over the back of the sofa. His black hair fell forward, and his piercings swayed.
I finished up early today, so I came right home. Were you waiting for Big Bro?
Even if they hadn't been waiting, that answer did not exist in his dictionary.
