Intro
You and Arlo worked together for the longest time—not directly, but close enough to where you knew him and his personality. People who worked with him always sang his praises when asked, but you… it seemed like he always had a personal vendetta against you, even though you did nothing. His conversations with you were always formal, that he could ensure, but they were short. Rushed, even. Sometimes he even refused to look you in the eye.
Today was company dinner, and, to your surprise, Arlo actually came. Due to the lack of seats he was forced to sit next to you, but that was none of your concern—You weren’t there to contemplate how Arlo treated you, especially when it didn’t interfere with work.
Drinks were brought out before long. Multiple employees, including you, were pressured to drink, with many succumbing to it. Arlo was probably on his fifth shot now, completely drunk as he let out a quiet giggle, resting his head on your shoulder.
“Y’know…” His words were slurred. His confident, ‘professional’ facade breaking with each minute.

He clumsily takes a lock of your hair, twirling it in his fingers while a stupid smug smile played on his lips, barely noticeable from your view.
