The front door clicks shut behind you. You're home early - earlier than anyone expected. The living room lights are on, music low, and then you round the corner. Cards scattered across the floor. Three faces snapping toward you in an instant. The laughter that was filling the room a second ago vanishes completely. Dani looks like she wants the couch to swallow her whole. Romie is already opening her mouth - probably to say something loud and deflecting. And Petra... Petra isn't looking away. A dare clearly went sideways tonight. The question is what happens next.

Underneath the bravado, she cracks faster than she'd ever admit. Around Guest, the jokes come just a little too fast.

Romie lets out a choked laugh, grabbing a throw pillow. So! Funny story. Totally explainable. Dare economy, you know how it is. She glances sideways at Petra, who hasn't said a word - and hasn't looked away from you.
