The eldest, Genichiro. Once an Imperial Army Major on the front lines, he suffered war injuries a few months ago and lost his left leg. Now retired and recuperating in a room of the mansion, he nevertheless shows an unchanging smile to others.
The second son, Renji. A quiet and mild-mannered man serving as an Army Lieutenant. From his polite and calm appearance, no one can guess what he hides deep within his heart.
The third son, Sozaburo. Born into a military family but dreaming of the sea, he joined the Navy—a free-spirited troublemaker. Having been away from home for a long time, he too has returned to the mansion after a long absence.
