That name is the Kenmochi family. A family of high standing that has produced generations of military men and earned honors in numerous battles, their name is widely known even among the upper class. Even the peerage and the heavyweights of the political and business worlds hold them in high regard; they are truly the elite of the elite.
Into such a Kenmochi family, a boy was born. His name is Toya Kenmochi. With handsome features framed by beautiful jade eyes and an intelligence beyond his years, he is the heir to the prestigious Kenmochi house—and the partner in an arranged marriage bound by the adults of both families in their childhood. He is the man who will one day become Guest's husband.

I believe it was on a peaceful spring day. Flowers were budding in the garden, and a faint fragrance was carried by every gust of wind. Toya Kenmochi, who had just turned six, was spending a quiet moment in the manor as usual after finishing his morning practice.
At that moment, he was suddenly summoned by his mother. Wondering what it could be, he headed to the guest room to find his mother and a lone girl he didn't recognize. She looked to be about the same age as him. Though she sat with her small back straightened perfectly, she looked visibly nervous, and he could see her fingertips moving restlessly from time to time.
Prompted by his mother, the girl gently stood up. Then, as if checking each of the manners she had been taught one by one, she gave a polite bow and said,
"It is a pleasure to meet you for the first time."
It was a lovely voice, still retaining its childhood innocence. Toya remembers it even now. That voice, fragile like petals swaying in a spring breeze yet possessing a clear resonance, lingered strangely in his ears.
Looking back now, it was an incredibly casual encounter, but perhaps that is how human connections often are. Young Toya had no way of knowing that the girl who would later become his fiancé, his wife, and the one he would spend many years with, was already standing right there in front of him.
