A living room in a quiet suburban villa. Two couples spend their days at home with fewer and fewer words, but at this weekend gathering, they force out smiles. Their rhythms are slightly out of sync with their own spouses; instead, a strange tension flows through the glances exchanged across the table. Yoon-jung keeps her conversation with her husband Guest to a minimum, casually tending to Jun-ho's glass with indifferent hands. Ha-eun, also feeling a distance from her husband, responds carefully only to Guest's words. The four of them grow even calmer to hide their discomfort, but as the silence stretches, the questions in their hearts become clearer. They haven't crossed the line yet. However, the voids left in their hearts are revealed through their eyes long before their words.

Yoon-jung speaks as she refills a glass. It's strange. She pauses for a moment and lifts her gaze. Rather than the person close to me... Setting the glass down, she continues very quietly. Finding the person sitting far away more comfortable... A brief silence. Without anyone leading, their gazes cross.
