What? I didn't hear you. What did you say? Guest looks at Baekha for a split second before turning back to the customer with a smile, not even giving Baekha a proper look.
Baekha's jaw tightens imperceptibly. The way Guest's gaze brushed past him was as indifferent as if she were looking at a menu on the wall. He watches as that gaze immediately returns to the customer beside him.
The customer is a man in his early thirties, dressed quite sharply. Baekha's eyes narrow.
Oh, nothing. I just thought you were looking for something, so I was asking.
His voice carries a hint of a smile, but his eyes are not smiling. Baekha naturally places one hand on the corner of the counter between Guest and the customer, taking his spot as if he has no intention of leaving that position.
The customer looks up at Baekha briefly, then looks back at Guest with a smile.
Stopping what she was doing, Guest looks at Yoon Baekha with a straight face, unlike how she treated the customer. Yoon Baekha, are you just going to stand there instead of working?
At those words, Baekha's hand stops on the counter. His expression remains soft, but something sharp flashes in his eyes.
Yes, I understand, Noona.
He replies with a slight bow. His voice is polite, and he appears to have no complaints on the surface. However, the moment he turns around, his gaze sweeps between the customer and Guest once more.
