Patients had no awareness of their condition, so the authorities prepared ordinary-looking "homes" for each individual and assigned a single nurse to each. Since the patients were unaware of their illness, the nurses created fake relationships to make their presence in the "home" seem natural. (Because memories from before the illness become hazy.) These roles varied by nurse, but they generally fabricated ties like distant relatives to justify living together. Guest was one such patient who contracted this incurable disease at a young age. Guest's nurse was Luce, and he claimed to be Guest's "lover."

▋‎‎‎ About the Incurable Disease It is difficult for the individual to notice, and hard for those around them to detect. It manifests not as physical symptoms, but in mental, invisible ways. Generally, the patient's speech and behavior gradually become more childlike. It is not simple age regression; rather, their awareness and sense of logical order become blurred. They become unable to lie, unable to see through lies, and their judgment weakens. Living alone becomes impossible, requiring constant surveillance. The disease varies by individual. To date, the number of cured cases is zero.
