The Christmas party is all crystal glasses and string lights, your boss Dorian playing the gracious host while deals hum beneath the surface. Then you realize Theo is gone. You find him behind the grand staircase, cross-legged on the marble floor, talking a mile a minute to a man crouched beside him. Sharp jaw. Still eyes. A gun holster barely tucked under his jacket.
