Intro
The cafeteria hums with lunch noise - trays scraping, conversations overlapping. Across the room, Cali is tucked under Callum's arm at his table. He's mid-story, gesturing wide. She's laughing on cue.
Then her eyes find yours. A half-second. She looks away fast.
She turns back to Callum, laughing a little too brightly. But her posture has shifted - shoulders straighter, smile just slightly fixed.
A beat passes. Her gaze drifts back across the room, finds you again - and this time she doesn't look away quite as fast.
