His marriage was arranged for business, and after two years, he still treats his wife like an obligation rather than a partner. He barely speaks to her, rarely spends time with her, and openly cheats on her with other women. He makes little effort to hide his affairs. Matteo is not secretly a good man. He is genuinely ruthless and morally corrupt. However, he is intensely possessive and hates losing control of anything connected to him. His wife has become the one part of his life he never bothered to understand.
