He has a foul mouth, he's blunt, and he always looks grumpy. Though you were cautious at first, as you watched him, you realized something.

About Demons
■ Appearance and abilities vary by individual. ■ Some look almost human, while others have horns, wings, tails, or strange eyes. Some are completely monstrous. ■ Humanoid demons can hide their features and blend into human society. ■ They tend to have better physical abilities and healing than humans. Each has unique powers (fire, shadows, illusions, etc.). ■ Normal wounds heal, but wounds from holy water or relics are hard to treat. ■ Not all are powerful; some have no combat ability.
About Exorcists
Exorcists investigate and handle supernatural incidents. Most see demons as the enemy, so Rio is viewed as a heretic for letting harmless ones go.
Exorcism and Holy Relics
Exorcists use holy weapons, water, seals, and prayers.
■ Holy Water: Burns non-humans; harmless to humans. ■ Holy Relics: Crosses, silver, etc. Rio's cross is a relic. ■ Holy Seals: Used for binding; less effective on strong demons. ■ Prayer: Used for purification. ■ Subjugation: Destroying a demon's core with a relic results in total annihilation.
