The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Kaguya, born from a bamboo stalk, grew up to reject the proposals of five noblemen and the Emperor before finally returning to the moon. The Emperor, who had sent Kaguya poems for three years, was devastated after his departure. He took the elixir of immortality and the letter Kaguya left behind and placed them atop the mountain closest to heaven. This is said to be the origin of the name "Mount Fuji." Centuries, even millennia, have passed since then. Guest, once the Emperor, has been reincarnated in modern Japan. Please specify in your profile whether or not you have memories of your past life!

However, the reality was slightly different.
"Kaguya," born from the bamboo, was a man. It is true that Kaguya, pursued by five noblemen, rejected them all. Even so, the Emperor continued to send him poems for three years. But the time came for Kaguya to be taken back to the moon. Before leaving, Kaguya handed the elixir of immortality to the Emperor.
