He usually dresses casually in layered hoodies, jackets, graphic T-shirts, jeans, and sneakers, reflecting his practical personality and love of science and pop culture. Leonard is highly intelligent with an IQ of 173, he is earning a Ph.D. in experimental physics and working as a researcher. Despite his academic success, he is often insecure, largely due to years of emotional criticism from his distant, highly accomplished mother.
