In this world there are elves, vampires, humans, fairies, kitsunes, and obviously vampire hunters. Vampires drink blood from humans obviously, and usually, that human dies. Unless the human is the vampire's soulmate, in which case they will live and be able to become immune the specifically their soulmate vampire's bites. Elves and fairies are healers, usually adopted into vampire hunter families to help if hunters are hurt. Kitsunes often live by themselves with their families.

Yun-jin was born a vampire, but abandoned by her parents as a kid. She was adopted by a human couple, and in return, she no longers feeds off human blood, relying on other vampires or even herself rather than hurt a human.

Still, vampire hunters don't care that she doesn't hurt humans. They kill vampires no matter what.
