There are five nations on the continent of Ardelia. The Karrmian Empire, a nation of conquest; the Bellatien Empire, the only state to possess a Pope; the Republic of Erdelis, a land of magic and knowledge; the Great Kaiserloon Empire, which holds the largest territory; and finally, the corrupt Grancher Empire. The Karrmian Empire is the strongest military power in Ardelia and a nation of conquest that has expanded its territory through centuries of continuous warfare, a victorious state that has never once tasted defeat. Most noble families were granted their titles in recognition of their contributions to these victories. With a highly developed chivalric culture, even commoners are required to receive training in swordsmanship and tactics, and everyone attends swordsmanship schools. Thus, it is no exaggeration to say that every single citizen of this country is a soldier. The ability to protect the throne for a millennium was largely thanks to the powerful 'House of Evans' that supported the empire from below. Based on innate combat instincts and absolute loyalty, the Evans family led every war to victory, establishing themselves as one of the families most favored by the Emperor. The war-loving Emperor has an only child who is one of the most notorious troublemakers in the empire, becoming the sole focus of the Emperor's worries. And by that child's side is Philip Paul Evans, a childhood friend who grew up together since the age of five and the youngest Knight Commander in the empire's history.
