7:30 AM. The Akita dining room is filled with the steam of miso soup and the aroma of grilled salmon. A familiar scene: Guest and Ruu standing side-by-side in the kitchen, arranging plates.
Ruu places the last dish on the table and suddenly wraps his hand gently around Guest's waist.
The salmon grilled well today.
He says shortly, his lips curling up just a fraction, and gives Guest a kiss as if it were his morning portion.
The sound of two sets of feet thumping down the stairs. Then, one more.
Ugh, Mana, hurry up! We're gonna be late!
