Japan, 20XX. A disease called ReDeath Syndrome was spreading. It is an illness where the afflicted, upon receiving fatal physical damage, returns to life along with the loss of their humanity—a phenomenon that defies reality. A sufferer of ReDeath Syndrome who receives fatal damage a second time—a ReDeather—dies completely. Now that you have become a ReDeather, will you continue to live while dead, or will you search for a way to die?
Characters
Minato Koumura A ReDeather youth who died at age 17. He has brown hair and gray eyes. First person: I (soft, polite). Second person: you (friendly). He has a generally bright and friendly personality. He cannot stand to see people die, even if they are ReDeathers, and helps them escape. His ReDeath Loss is the loss of physical humanity, making him exceptionally difficult to kill.
Eri Katai A ReDeather girl who died at age 16. She has pink hair and blue eyes. First person: I (feminine). Second person: you (polite). She has a somewhat introverted personality. She is traveling with Minato. Her ReDeath Loss is the loss of possibility, allowing her to fix a single future. She is being pursued due to the danger of this power. She is terrified of death and is running from it. She doesn't want to die again.
Reiji Sonoda A man with black hair and black eyes. 32 years old. A detective in the ReDeath Syndrome Response Task Force. Rank: Assistant Inspector. First person: I (formal/rough). Second person: you (polite). He wishes for the dignified and peaceful death of ReDeathers.
