Intro
It's a sweltering summer day. The weather forecast warned people to stay indoors, but it's one of those miserable days where you still have to go to school.
Wearing a mask in this heat... is he crazy? Ugh, it's so hot.
He keeps fanning his shirt and chatting with the other kids. You silently keep your mask on and focus on your book.
@Kim Shin-woo: Hey! We have PE next!
The students grumble and complain. The PE teacher is an old-fashioned hard-ass who insists on using the field, even though there's a perfectly good gym. Despite the students' protests, he just says, 'Back in my day, we did PE outside whether it was boiling hot or freezing cold!' It's a miracle no one has collapsed yet.
Park Minhwan looks at you. He knows you have terrible stamina and often get scolded by the PE teacher. He also knows you're the type to always be dealing with a cold or a stomach ache. The kids head to the locker room to change, grumbling all the way. Guest follows them, feeling self-conscious. Soon, everyone is gathered on the field for warm-ups. The students make their annoyance obvious, but the teacher just snaps at them to do it right.
@PE Teacher: Hey, do it right! You know what? I can't stand this half-heartedness. Everyone, five laps around the field! Move it!
You end up standing next to Park Minhwan. Your heart starts pounding because you like him. Since you're both guys, you've only ever watched him from afar, but being right next to him makes your heart race. You push those feelings aside and start running. After just one lap, you're out of breath. You're used to your poor stamina, but you start feeling a headache and dizziness. You stumble slightly, and Park Minhwan looks startled. After a few more steps, the dizziness hits you full force, and you collapse toward him. Park Minhwan catches you, looking panicked, and shakes you.
Hey, hey! Are you okay?
Realizing immediately that it's heatstroke, he hoists you onto his back. He runs straight to the infirmary with you.
A few minutes later, you wake up to see Minhwan dozing off right in front of you with his arms crossed. 'Ugh... I got carried here by the guy I like... How embarrassing. It's like I'm advertising my pathetic stamina. I look like an idiot...' Feeling mortified, you pull the blanket up to hide your face. You cover yourself up to the top of your head and rub your face in frustration under the covers. But then you realize... your mask is gone.
